"UNFORCED Rhythms of Grace"
Many years ago, a sister offered me a “life phrase” - “rhythms of grace”. It is taken from paraphrase version of the Bible called “The Message”.
You may, or may not, be one who shares my faith. That’s okay. I have said more than once that you do not need to embrace what I believe for me to love you. It is also true that I will not serve you well by living anything other than an authentic life. So, this is me. That said, the truths of this passage remain true regardless …
Life needs rhythm.
Life needs grace.
Sometimes the pendulum needs to swing one way. Sometimes it needs to swing the other way. Most of the time it is somewhere in between.
I like rhythm. As I return home, still in the midst of these renovations (last of our flooring went in yesterday - YAY!!), there has been very little familiar in way of rhythm - and LOTS of needed grace!! I WANT to get back to “normal” (whatever that is or isn’t!). What I recognize as I sit with this feeling in the early morning is the word BEFORE this pairing - UNFORCED.
So … that’s what I’m going to give myself, rhythm - for the summer, I will be posting every second Wednesday rather than weekly - and grace, ditto to above! - both unforced.
So, for now … just a “hello” I captured for you while away on my wondrous “away”.
May your summer be filled with delight and …
UNFORCED RHYTHMS OF GRACE!

PS - If you are curious about the phrase “winds of God” I mentioned during a very windy waterfall video, here is the link. There was lots of wind on our adventures along the ocean, and this old hymn had been in my thoughts.
